  • Has approx. 700 members.
  • Aims to improve the quality of life of persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities to enable them to live as equal citizens in the society.
  • Offers support and information on e.g. legislation.

    • information, recreation, peer support
  • Child care and supervision
    • for children/young people and their siblings at their homes and during activities organized by Kehitysvammatuki
  • Clubs
    • music, creative activities, studying, discussion froups, differents sports
  • Camps
    • summer and winter camps for all age groups and also for severe disabled
  • Friendship Café
    • a meeting place for disabled young people and adults
    • billiard and games, karaoke, meeting friends
  • Support persons
    • recruiting and training of friends for disabled people over 12 years old
  • Vekkari project
    • supporting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to work as peer group leaders and volunteerworkers
    • peer groups are established from a customer-oriented point of view

    • excursions and tours including culture and recreation

    • an annual event where disabled artists perform

    • provides day services for 30 people with severe intellectual disabilities
